Description:
Warehouse expansion, refrigerated storage and office space.
Garden State Bulb is one of the world’s largest importers of Dutch flower bulbs. To accommodate their rapidly growing presence in the U.S. they commissioned this 120,000 square foot construction project to provide additional warehouse, refrigerated storage and office space.
“This facility was designed to support a global organization that is a leader in its field,” said Peter Galetto, Jr., President of Stanker & Galetto. “Garden State Bulb must be able to process millions and millions of bulbs for its customers. This new facility enables them to save time and money.”
Special Characteristics and Challenges
The expansion complies with the latest in sustainable design technology. To control energy use, Stanker & Galetto installed occupancy sensors in all work spaces, high-efficiency hand dryers in all bathrooms and light-reflective paint throughout the facility. The project also features energy-efficient HVAC units with high SEER ratings for improved comfort and additional cost savings.
“Stanker & Galetto was the perfect partner for this project. They were able to guide us through the entire process, providing hands-on support and allowing us to focus on our business while they pushed the project through to completion. In the end, this building is exactly what we envisioned it would be.”
