This project was featured in the February 2007 issue of metalmag :
The pavilion was engineered to a 110-mph wind load. The resort hotel needed to replace a large tent marketed for banquets and other special events with a permanent facility before the expiration of a temporary occupancy permit. The clear span, economy, and more controllable schedule inherent to metal building systems enabled Stanker & Galetto to complete the project sooner than the 210-day schedule set by the contract. The tent and flooring were cleared and the new building erected on the same site. The activity was carefully controlled to preserve mature trees and prevent physical and noise intrusions into scheduled activities at the facilities.
